“This was a large scale, challenging project which involved the excavation and removal of a substantial quantity of topsoil as well as an existing patio; the replacement of a large area of grass membrane topped with slate chips, the laying of a large new patio; the building of a retaining wall; and the laying of two new paths.
As regards to price, it is to be noted that the company submitted a quotation which compared very favourably with other bidders. In addition, Gary stuck faithfully to the quote despite some incurring some extra unforeseen costs as the work proceeded.
Despite the challenges of frequent inclement weather and the absence through illness of one worker for a week, the company persevered well with the work whenever the weather allowed. In addition all workers on site were extremely helpful, polite, and keen to offer constructive suggestions based on their experience.
In conclusion I have no hesitation in recommending Gary, and would happily re-employ him if further landscaping work was required.”
